Homology Modelling Course
The next Homology Modelling Course will be held 18-29 October 2004.

The international homology modelling course is meant for researchers, beginning in the BIOcomputing world. The aim of the course is that a molecular biologist (or pharmacologist, or physicist, or anybody without BIOcomputing experience) will learn to see what the questions are when a new sequence pops up, and how to start answering them. As it is impossible to learn everything in just two weeks, we shall put a lot of emphasis on spotting problems, and on realising when help is needed.

We assume NO prior knowledge of any of the major topics, but if you cannot handle a mouse or don't know what a valine is, you may be in trouble. It will certainly help if you can operate an editor (xedit, vi, emacs, jot, etc., are all fine).

The course is very practical: one quarter seminars, three quarters working at the computer. You will be solving didactic problems made up specially for the course, and real-life problems selected from our daily BIOcomputing work at CMBI.
